CSIRO – Annual Report design
Spectrum successfully designed an intellectually dense publication that reflected the CSIRO’s year in review into a functional and attractive report. This included their partnering with business, national research flagships, divisions and facilities as well as connoting how the CSIRO touch everyday Australians. Working closely with their Canberra communications area, we reinterpreted their new branding and corporate design style and developed a colourful and attractive publication. Beyond the text, Spectrum also reflected the enormity of the CSIRO’s undertakings when designing graphics, maps, charts, graphs, selecting suitable images and highlight articles. With so much content – iteration policing was also vital throughout the report’s production. Spectrum’s quality control procedures ensured the client and Spectrum were always working in unison and on the ‘same sheet of music’. Another anxious free Spectrum client! After the client gave Spectrum the thumbs up to go to print, an accessible PDF of the report was created and sent through to the client.
